USAID’s SLDP launches corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities

Nis, June 8, 2012 - Representatives of the Business Leaders Forum, including large corporations such as Telekom Serbia, Holcim and Philip Morris, CSOs, local government and regional development agencies participated in a SLDP-supported CSR workshop in the Nis-led inter-municipal cooperation (IMC) area, where potential CSR projects were developed. Workshop participants were introduced to examples of best-practice in corporate social responsibility and discussed the potential for cooperation among public, private and civic sectors in philanthropy, corporate volunteering and support for youth employment. SLDP and Smart Kolektiv organized the conference in partnership with the Nis Office for Local Economic Development and the Regional Development Agency "Jug".
